Spiderman’ Who Disrupted PBA Finals Game Gives Pizza To His Former Inmates After Being Released

Do you remember the ‘Spiderman’ incident that marred Game 5 of the Philippine Cup finals at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum?

This is when a man in a Spiderman costume ran to the middle of the court, disrupted the game and waved a huge card stating “Vote Love, Love PBA, Love Philippines.” He entered the court when the game between the San Miguel Beermen and Magnolia Hot Shots was about to end and accidentally collided with June Mar Fajardo.

He was later identified as Paolo Felizarta who claimed that he just wanted to spread love to everyone during the election season. Right after the incident, he was immediately arrested and was detained in Quezon City Police District Station 7 for his actions.

Recently, Spideman once again caught the attention of the netizens when he went back where he was detained–to give away several boxes of pizza to his former inmates.

Felizarta said that the inmates were all nice to him when he was detained, that’s why now that he’s out, he simply wants to give back to them.

“They treated me well so I have to give back.”

It can be seen in the video that Felizarta went to Station 7 of the Quezon City Police District, dressed in his ‘usual’ Spiderman costume and brought 7 boxes of pizza to inmates who were cheering as he came in.

Although many netizens lauded him for keeping his word to these inmates and said that he really just wanted to spread some love in this world, there are still some who believe that his way of conveying his message of “love” was still wrong.

On the other hand, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said that he has no plans of rescinding the penalties of Ronald Tubid, Kelly Nabong, and the two officials from San Miguel in their role involving Paolo Felizarta.

“Mali pa rin ‘yun. Fan natin ‘yun kahit ganun. Mali pa rin ‘yun,” the commissioner said.

The two San Miguel players were suspended for three games and fined P75,000 for their role in the commotion. Tubid punched the man in the Spiderman costume while he was being escorted out of the court while Nabong was believed to have physically hurt the other man who was assumed to be his accomplice.

Felizarta already apologized for what he did and he also pleaded to the PBA commissioner to drop the penalties against Ronald Tubid and Kelly Nabong.
