Pinay Who Traveled To Japan Recreated Scenes From The Animated Film ‘Your Name’
Most people who consider themselves as animé fan would do anything to show their admiration for it. There are those who have a collection of items or memorabilia of their favorite film, they know all the names of the characters, they never skipped any of the episodes, and sometimes even tried to reenact some of the iconic scenes from their favorite animé films.
Take this Pinay who recently traveled to Japan, for instance. Jalaine Joyce V. Malabanan made rounds on social media after uploading photos taken from her Japan trip. The Pinay traveler felt a bit more fulfilled after finishing her trip to Japan with a series of photos recreating the scenes from the animated Japanese movie, “Your Name” (Kimi No Na Wa).
“Mission accomplished. Pwede na umuwi. HAHAHAHHAHA,” she wrote on Facebook.
The photos went viral and received more than 11k reactions and 16k shares on Facebook, since posting.
In an interview with Pop Inquirer, Malabanan shared the reasons why she decided to recreate these scenes.
“It was simply an attempt to have fun and explore places in Japan.”
However, she used this opportunity to recreate some photos of the iconic scenes in her favorite film.
“If there’s anything that makes ‘Your Name’ different and/or special, that would be its emotional appeal—a kind that connects people to having faith with destiny and a love that transcends the boundaries of time and space,” she added
Although she enjoyed taking these photos, Malabanan’s also shared that recreating these photos was not an easy task as it took her over an hour to do the photos itself and several hours of walking just to complete most of the scenes.
“It’s a long walk and I think it took us over an hour to do the recreated photos. My advantage is, my sister has gone ahead of us and showed us where the places are located. But if you will religiously follow the pilgrimage, I guess it may take as long as 4-5 hours, especially when you are unfamiliar with the place,” she explained.
Many netizens admired her stunning Japan photos that looked really similar to that of the movie.
