Miss Universe Philippines 2010 Venus Raj’s Simple and Relaxing, Tropical Bungalow House

Venus Raj was born on July 7, 1988 in Doha, Qatar as Maria Venus Bayonito Raj. She is a Filipino actress, television personality and host.
She represented the Philippines in the 2010 Miss Universe and most noted for being dethroned and later reinstated as Miss Philippines Universe 2010 due to her questionable Filipino citizenship.
Born to an Indian father she never knew, Venus grew up with her mother, a dressmaker, in Bato, Camarines Sur with four older siblings.
After she was born in Qatar, her mom took her to Bato, Camarines Sur in the Bicolandia. There she was registered by her aunt as a Philippine-born child.
In 2011, a few months after winning the fourth runner-up title in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant, Venus Raj returned to her hometown of Bato, Camarines Sur and started building her dream house.
The construction of her bungalow type house took over a year and a half to complete. Well, It proved to be well worth the wait, her dream has turned out to be beautiful indeed.
Last year, Venus Raj completed her master’s degree in community development from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
With its simple yet very relaxing tropical resort aura, that lets the natural light and breezy air to circulate.
Facade
The beauty queen’s home in Bato, Camarines Sur has become somewhat of a tourist attraction in their hometown. People often stop by this entrance and ask for permission to take photos.
Living Area
The sliding glass doors of the living area open up to the veranda, giving the homeowner great views of the rice fields across her property—something that she really enjoys.
“Iba yung feeling na ganyan ang makikita mo pag gising mo. Hindi mo ipagpapalit. Walang kapantay. Sobrang sarap,”
The living area is also connected to the dining area.
She even describes this area, as well as the free-flowing layout that she wanted for her bungalow.
“Malinis, maluwag, tsaka maaliwalas lang, gano’n.”
The cool colored curtains complement the rest of the furniture and accessories in the area for a calm and airy vibe.
The large sliding doors also add a distinctly tropical look to the home and also allows fresh air to breeze in.
The beauty queen’s photographs and portraits hang on the walls of the living area.
Kitchen
The kitchen decors are kept minimal and clean most of the time. Instead of placing a kitchen island, Venus opted to put a long, sturdy table. So that they can clean it easily and moved it around as needed.
Venus said that she wanted to build a kitchen that is big enough to accommodate family gatherings.
Bedroom
The beauty queen’s master bedroom is perhaps the very first room that she can call her own.
Growing up, together with her mom and other siblings, they shared only one room in the bahay kubo they called home
The master bedroom features a sloped ceiling that gives the room a lot of breathing space and headroom
Outdoor
The beauty queen also plans to build a two-story house behind the family bungalow.
According to her, she will eventually give this three-bedroom home to her siblings and their children, while she moves into the house on their backyard when it’s already complete.
