Mutya Johanna Fontiveros Datul, is a Filipino fashion model, actress and beauty titleholder who was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2013 and later Miss Supranational 2013 in Minsk Sports Palace in Belarus.
Mutya Datul was also the first woman of Asian descent to be crowned as Miss Supranational.
After winning the pageant, she embarked on an acting career and some TV shows, but despite her success, her life remains simple.
In fact, she is currently working as a checker of receipts at a hardware store at 10th Avenue, Caloocan City.
In an interview with PEP, Mutya Datul shared:
The 26-year-old beauty queen doesn’t have her own car, that’s why she commutes every day as she goes to work and to avoid the heavy traffic, she is only reporting to work on a half day basis during Friday.
On March 8, Mutya left her work early and went to the Viva Films office to get her talent fee for a show. But to her surprise, her handler John Navarro told her that she will be included in the cast of “Sanggano, Sanggago at Sanggwapo” – the reunion movie of Janno Gibbs, Andrew E and Dennis Padilla.
Meanwhile, she is praying that this time she would be given the chance to deliver even four dialogues, because in her previous film, “Deadma Walking,” what she did is literally just ‘walking’.
Mutya was born and raised in Isabela so her thick Ilocano accent was quite obvious as she speaks.
