The Philippines once again bagged the Miss Universe crown for the fourth time after the win of Bicolana beauty Catriona Gray. While the whole country is celebrating with her victory.

On Monday, Jonas Gaffud shared on Instagram a photo of the team that helped Catriona Gray win the Philippines’ fourth Miss Universe crown. Gaffud was not part of the photo, but he is the beauty queen’s mentor in Miss World 2016 where she finished in the Top 5.
In the said photo, Catriona can be seen with designers Mak Tumang and Jojo Bragais, mentor Carlos Buendia Jr., casting director Harley Tan, and stylists Ton Lao and Brent Sales and many more.

The photo was captioned with this statement.
“Give credit where credit is due. Huge congratulations should go to the team that helped Catriona in her Miss Universe bid,” he said, adding, “I thank you.”
Many netizens commented on his Instagram post and they praised the beauty queen’s mentor for his humility. They said that he also played a huge role in Gray’s journey to the Miss Universe crown.

Jonas Gaffud of Aces and Queens was considered as one of the Philippines’ top beauty queen mentors, having helped in the campaigns of Megan Young (Miss World 2013), Kylie Verzosa (Miss International 2016), and Pia Wurtzbach (Miss Universe 2015), among others.

After her loss in the Miss World 2016, Catriona Gray left Jonas Gaffud’s team and signed up as an independent candidate when she joined Binibining Pilipinas.
This national pageant allowed her to represent the country in Miss Universe.
The 24-year-old model opted to create her own team, she handpicked all of the members of her team that allowed her to be more creative.
