Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano met her 22-year-old half-brother John. who came to the Philippines from the United States last week.
Based on a report, the actress first met him last Christmas while she was on a vacation in the US.
Liza Soberano was born to a Filipino father, John Castillo Soberano, and an American mother, Jacqulyn Elizabeth Hanley, while John is the son of her father, with a Portuguese woman.
Obviously, John’s name was followed after their father’s name.
The 21-year-old Kapamilya actress was born in California, where she was raised by her maternal grandparents when her parents separated. But at the age of 10, Liza moved to Manila to live with her father.
Aside from his Portuguese-Filipino half-brother, Liza has another younger brothers, Justin David, Dustin and Jaden.
Liza’s manager Ogie Diaz shared on Facebook the photo of the meeting of John and Liza:
He wrote
“Hulaan nyo kung sino yang katabi ni Liza Soberano? Siya si John, 22yo. Ang mother niya Portuguese. Ang daddy naman niya ay Filipino. Matangkad na bata, mga 6 or 6’1 ang height. Si Liza ay 5’7.”
Ogie Diaz started his caption with a few details about Liza’s half-brother.
“Kauuwi lang dito ni John sa request na rin ng ama niya na pinagkuhaan niya ng pangalan. Tuwang-tuwa si Daddy John, dahil when he left US, huling kita niya kay younger John ay 6 months old. Kaya ang ama ay ninanamnam ang presensiya ng anak bago ito lumipad sa US in April.”
He also shared that it was their father, John Castillo, who requested the young man to visit here in the Philippines.
“Andito si John para makapiling si Liza at ang pamilya nito. Close na close na agad ang dalawa. Actually, na-meet na rin John si Enrique Gil at tingin ko kahapon sa tsikahan nila ay close na din sila,”
He added in the last part of his post that John already met his half-sister’s boyfriend, Enrique Gil and the two seem close to each other.
