Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano has been away from the limelight after she flew to the United States to have her fractured finger treated.
Last July 4, the 21-year-old actress underwent her second and last surgery on her fractured finger at a hospital in Los Angeles, California.
Joni Lyn Castillo-Pillarano shared recent updates about Liza’s condition, who is now on her way to recovery. Joni, who the actress fondly calls “tita” has been with the actress since the first phase of the operation.
“Successful naman ang operation but of course shes in pain right now,” she said.
Liza shared that she underwent two procedures called “interphalangeal joint infusion,” wherein the doctors fused bones in her finger, and the other one is the “Iliac Crest Graft Harvesting,” a procedure where a bone from another part of the body was taken to be used for the other parts. For Liza’s case, they took a bone from her hip and they put it on her fractured finger bone.

“According to her doctor two weeks recovery depending on the swelling of her wound and then we are allowed to travel back home,” Joni added.
The Kapamilya actress had to back out from doing the iconic Darna role because of the finger injury she sustained while shooting the now-defunct Kapamilya Primetime soap Bagani in August 2018.
On May 15, Liza underwent an operation that was supposed to remove the plates on her, but her doctors found out that she had a bone infection. Because of that, the actress had to stay abroad for four more weeks in order for it to be treated before they can schedule another surgery.

“Meron siyang IV Line for the antibiotic, weekly blood test para ma monitor ang effect ng gamot then 2 weeks antibiotic tablet. Last June 27 last take niya ng gamot,” she said.
She took the second surgery with eagerness to get better and to finally get back on track.
“Well she is brave. But two days before the surgery medyo nagkaroon siya ng anxiety attack, dahil siyempre inisip nya yung mga hindi na nya pwedeng gawin because of what happened,” she added.
Just recently, Liza went live on social media to give an update about her fractured finger after the surgery. In the video, she announced that she has an upcoming project in the small screen with her reel and real life partner Enrique Gil soon as she’s also planning to go back to the country this July.
