Look: Albert Martinez Has Been Dubbed “Teleserye King” As The Stars in Almost All Kapamilya Shows

Because of his extensive work in ABS-CBN soaps, veteran actor Albert Martinez has been dubbed as the “Teleserye King!”

The 57-year-old actor is currently showing off his acting chops in The General’s Daughter, ABS-CBN’s first teleserye offering this 2019.

The General’s Daughter is a drama television series starring Angel Locsin and several veteran actors Tirso Cruz III, Eula Valdez, Janice de Belen, and Maricel Soriano. Albert will play the role of the “General Marcial de Leon” while Locsin will be his daughter. The series premiered on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida evening block and worldwide via The Filipino Channel last January 21, 2019.

But although there’s a long list of matinee idols and leading men gracing our televisions, no one comes close to veteran actor Albert Martinez.

In fact, he could bring home the trophies if there are awards for the “Suking Tatay” and the “Teleserye King.”

If you haven’t noticed yet, Albert has literally been in almost the teleserye shows in ABS-CBN either as a mainstay or a cameo role, from the afternoon, show up until at night as he starred in shows from Kapamilya Gold and Primetime Bida.

Last year, the veteran actor starred as Robert Mondragon in the afternoon soap Kadenang Ginto, the cold-hearted Tomas Tuazon, on Ang Probinsyano, the mysterious Theodore Montemayor or Prof. T on La Luna Sangre, and the polygamous Victor Buenavidez on The Good Son and his special participation role as “Agos” in Bagani.

That is also the reason why many netizens praised him for his skills and versatility. They were also quick to point that he is the true ‘Teleserye King.’

It can also be proven through his Instagram feed which actually looks like a catalog of ABS-CBN’S shows. From ratings of Kadenang Ginto to his stint at Ang Probinsyano, Albert Martinez is “everywhere.”

Meanwhile, the 57-year-old veteran actor has far proven that he got the acting flair and versatility that many actors would aspire because of his almost four decades of acting.

But on top of his achievement, the versatile actor is one proud father and a doting grandfather to his family. On Instagram, his lighter side can be seen as he cuddles his only “apo”, Adalynn and laughs with his 3 children.
