Check This Out: Bamboo Sings Together with Singing Policeman at Davao Airport
Pinoy Rock icon and “The Voice” coach Bamboo Mañalac joined the singing police in their performance when he arrived at Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City on Saturday, November 24.
The said duet was posted on Bamboo’s Facebook page: “Bamboo Music Live.” with the caption ATM bamboo live @ Davao Airport! The viral video has already earned more than 1.9 million views.
On the other hand, the singing policemen at Francisco Bangoy International Airport are members of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 11 in the Davao Region. According to them, Bamboo was on his way to Tagum City for another concert when he joined their performance while they were singing Rivermaya’s hit song entitled “Elesi.”
During the 1990s, Bamboo began his career as the vocalist and original frontman of Rivermaya and later fronted his own band, Bamboo.
The band vocalist of the singing policemen, PO1 Rolando Opong said that they wanted to give the warmest greetings to all the visitors through singing. Together they performed love songs, Christmas songs, and original compositions at the airport.
Meanwhile, all the tourists who come across them enjoyed the performance of the singing policemen. In fact, some can’t even help themselves, but take videos and pictures while they are performing.

According to one of the employees at the airport, the policemen sing to bring good vibes to all tourists upon their arrival.
Because of the overwhelming comments they received, the band promised to practice more so that they could improve their performances in the future.
