Four years ago, Ador Adrian Gabrieles promised to support his girlfriend Aira Arcamo to college so they can both fulfill their dreams in the future.
He started to work at the age of 18 as a bagger/messenger at Sanford Marketing or Savemore, but later he decided to look for a higher paying job so he could support his girlfriend in school. He tried to learn the English language so he can be a call center agent, and that’s what he did.
Recently on Facebook, Ador proudly shared their success story that immediately caught the attention of the netizens.
Now that her girlfriend is finally graduating from college this coming April 2019, the proud boyfriend joined her photoshoot for graduation as he also feels that he has graduated after supporting her for 4 years.
On March 3, Ador wrote a lengthy post on Facebook sharing all his sacrifices and hard work to support Aira’s education.
Based on his story, they were riding a jeep going to Marilao, Bulacan, when Aira suddenly cried after receiving a text message from her sister.
That was the time when he promised to help her and decided to look for a job. Luckily, he found one as a bagger/messenger for Sanford Marketing or Savemore.
He also shared the hardship that he encountered during the interview and while working as a bagger.
Before his contract at Savemore ends, Ador pushed himself to learn English so he could become a call center agent. He initially asked Aira, who is taking Bachelor of Arts in English Language, to help him, but because he felt embarrassed that he often forgets what she teaches him, he just studied on his own.
His determination paid off and finally landed a job at a BPO company. He now had better means to support Aira with a higher salary.
Though there were many people who criticized and even mocked him for financing his girlfriend’s study, saying she would probably leave him once she graduates from college and finds a guy with a better job.
Ador explained that he truly loves his girlfriend and this is his way to show to her parents how much he love their daughter.
In another post, Aira shared that they are now planning to do a reversal of roles as she would be the one now to send Ador to school when she finds a job.
